The Universe Is My/Our Neighborhood

It is not local.

By virtue of their past, objects that at present are in vastly different regions of the universe can be part of a quantum mechanically entangled whole…. Brian Greene “The Fabric Of The Cosmos”

Atoms moving in concert with each other although light years apart, measure one by interfering with the path of the other. We have no idea how, Einstein called it “spooky” I call it fascinating, it feels right, like Karma, what you do has an affect, or ask not for who the bell tolls it tolls for thee, I love it.

And then there are the Water Bears Tardigrades (commonly known as water bears or moss piglets) form the phylum Tardigrada, part of the superphylum Ecdysozoa. … an animal species we know very little about. What we do know is that they can withstand space travel, yep, and any environment the earth has they can survive in.

Google search an image of water bears, see your ancestor in their little claws and rolly polly bodies. New arrivals every day in the shards and fragments of meteorites that shower our atmosphere, Plop, Plop, Fizz, Fizz, Oh what an Evolving Species it is.

Moving on to more difficult and to some downright Scary concepts: we are not alone in the universe; there are other, smarter and more bad ass beings out there; they may want to eat us. All could be true. I mean we eventually figured out that on the other side of the big waters there were other people. right? Hello the New World here we come, Bad ass and ready to plunder and pillage. WE are afraid of the alien concept because we been there done that as a species, albeit in a gravity keeping our asses on earth way. We have kept it local, so to speak, but remember? the Universe is not local.

Yeah I know, I too continue to struggle with the concept (as I am sure that Lying cheat of a map stealer Columbus did) that matter as we see it is controlled by forces we do not understand. The god particle! what holds us together? bosons like to hangout together whereas fermions gotta march in line not occupying the same space at the same time…rhythm and rhyme, its relative, like time.
